Please make sure to download the latest firmware file to your computer now as you will lose internet access in the next few steps : Downloads page.

Then, with the device off, press the bottom center button for a good 20 seconds until Motion boots in safe mode as shown below.

Motion will display the WiFi network you need to connect to and the website you need to reach.

If you wish to cancel the firmware update and resume as usual, simply press both top and bottom center buttons together for a few seconds.

Click on the wireless signal icon in the lower right of your Windows desktop. Then select the Motion WiFi network and connect to it.

From this point on, you will lose internet access. If you need to come back to this documentation or any other website, you will need to disconnect from Motion and reconnect to your regular WiFi network.

Click here or copy/paste http://192.168.0.1/ to your web browser address bar to access your device's website.

You can now upload the new firmware by clicking on "Choose File" then "Confirm". Website will first display "Loading, please wait" then "Success, Motion will restart". This could take up to two minutes. Once restarted in normal mode, do not forget to shut down the device !
